I recently fitted Roman Blinds, in 2 bay windows, for a customer in Paignton. She decided she wanted the middle Blinds to be one colour, with the side ones contrasting, why not? I think it worked really well and the customer was very pleased. If you would like a quote, or just some advice, fill out the form on this page and I will get back to you.
What stunning views from Beverley Holiday Park, in Paignton. I recently supplied them with a large number of 25mm Venetians and Roller Blinds, to keep in stock to replace the existing cheaper ones when they expire.
I also did some child safety work in a number of the log cabins on site. If you would like your blinds checked to see if they meet the current child safety regulations, or would like a quote for new Blinds, then fill out the form on this page and I will get back to you.
Having fitted Blinds all through their home, Steve, at Pads And Paws, brought me in to put the finishing touch to his office refurbishment above his store in Preston, Paignton.
The Vertical Blinds work really well giving both privacy and adjustable sun shading. If you would like some advice, or a quote, fill out the form on this page and I will get back to you.
It’s not often we wake up to snow down here in Devon…
This winter we had none, but come spring and we had 2 massive hits in a 2 week period. First time snow has ever stopped me working on the English Riviera. Thankfully, all gone now and with summer just around the corner maybe it’s time to start thinking about filtering the sun.

I recently went to the Princess Theatre, in Torquay, for an evening with Aggers & Tuffers. That is ex England cricketers turned commentators Jonathan Agnew & Phil Tuffnell. It was a very entertaining night with some very funny stories from their careers. Phil Tuffnells description of how he played fast bowling was particularly amusing. As he demonstrated, it basically saw him jumping around with arms and legs flailing, head turned away and bat wafting somewhere in the air. He referred to it as “I then played my preferred shot to a fast bowler”. I went alone, as it was a present from my partner. Needless to say she is not a cricket fan! Here is a picture of a lime green Cassette Roller Blind, recently fitted in Whidbourne Avenue, Torquay. It may look quite bright, but with the rest of the kitchen very plain it really set off the window and made a feature of it.
Good choice from the customer and she was very pleased with the result. If you would like a quote, or just some advice, then fill out the form on this page and I will get back to you.
Sometimes the same type of Blind doesn’t suite all windows in a property.
This customer, in Shaldon, wanted Wooden Venetian Blinds, but had 2 large patio door areas leading into the garden. For these it was more practical to fit Vertical Blinds, as they are easier to operate when going through the doors.
Wooden Venetians of this size would have been very heavy are more difficult to operate on a regular basis. However, they had the Wooden Venetians throughout the rest of the property and were very happy with the result.

Not once, but twice in March this year we had large snowfalls. Both times the area was brought to a standstill, with schools and work places closed for at least a day on both occasions.
At least it gave me a chance to catch up on paperwork and accounts, plus writing a few of these blogs to keep you all informed. If you would like a quote or some advice on Blinds, then fill out the form on this page and I will get back to you.
I recently replaced some tired old Verticals at St.Margaret’s Academy in Torquay.
This time they went for Roller Blinds, as the window sills are often used for storage and Verticals didn’t suit. They went for Guardian fabric as it is thick and hardwearing, allows some light in when down, but enables them to see the white boards on a sunny day.

Just before finishing for Christmas, one of my last fittings was 2 very large roller blinds overlooking Torquay Harbour. It was a lovely winter’s day and what a stunning view to end the year.
Here’s a picture for my blog readers…
