30 year old steps bite the dust

I’ve had trusty old set of aluminium steps since I started nearly 30 years ago. Due to wear & tear and a few sharp edges, they were consigned to the scrap heap today after ripping two pairs of jeans & cutting my knee!

The enclosed picture shows the smart new, BS approved, steps that joined my team today. Looking forward to using them tomorrow when I’ve got a roller blind, several wooden Venetians & lots of pleated roof blinds to fit.

If you would like a quote, or just some advice on blinds, then fill out the form on this page or give me a call.

Working with The National Trust – Printed Blinds

I have just completed a contract with Brightsea Print Group, to supply and fit 6 Roller Blinds for The National Trust, at Lydford Gorge on Dartmoor.

As can be seen from the pictures, the blinds were all digitally printed with The National Trust logo, in various sizes, as requested by The National Trust themselves..

Many thanks to John Smith, at Brightsea, for considering me for this project and hopefully I can look forward to working again with both Brightsea and The National Trust.

Printed blinds are not something I undertake every day but certainly an option where if required, for any more info on these, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Do I cover your area?

Today I provided quotes and took orders in Dawlish, Kennford and Exeter..
Not all in my normal areas of coverage, but if you’re after a quote and not in my area, give me a call anyway.

For medium to large orders I am happy to travel outside of my “normal” area. The best way to find out is always to call me or fill in the form and I will call you straight back.

If you do live in my area of Torbay, Teignbridge & The South Hams definitely give me a call for honest advice, quality products at sensible prices and a great all round service.

Wooden Venetian Blinds

Wooden venetian blinds come in a variety of colours and wood grains.  Also, as seen in the accompanying photos, they can be fitted with ladder “tapes” as opposed to ladder braid, to give that more classic look.

These were part of an order fitted recently in Watcombe, Torquay. They also come in  4 different slat widths, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and contoured 64mm.  So whatever your wooden venetian blind requirements, give me a ring, or fill out the form on this web site for a call back, or just some advice.20141218_150338614_iOS

Vertical Blinds in Bay Windows

Bay windows can often be seen as awkward to fit anything to, but here, at Dave Musgrove Blinds, we have many solutions. The most common is to fit vertical blinds, which can be fitted in a number of ways:-

1. Individual blinds to each window section.
2. Covering smaller angles with fewer blinds, as in the 3 fitted near Cockington, Torquay, in the accompanying photo.
3. A single vertical blind fitted to a curved headrail, following the curve of the bay.

So, if you have a bay and are not sure how to shade or cover the windows, give me a call, or fill in the form on this web site and I will come back to you to arrange a quote or just some advice.

Perfect Fit Blinds

Although covered in a previous blog, I thought I’d bring to your attention a different way Perfect Fit Pleated Blinds can be utilised.

The 6 blinds fitted recently on the Shaldon Road, just outside Newton Abbot, were actually fitted upside down. No, not my mistake, but at the request of the customer, as they had a need to just cover the lower half of their windows at certain times.

So, whether with perfect fit, or any blinds, if you have a particular request, let me know and I will try to find a solution. If you have a problem window, or windows, give me a call for some advice or fill out the form on this web site for a call back.

Wooden Shutters

Wooden shutters have many benefits..

They can add character and charm to a cottage, as in the ones recently fitted in Salcombe, in the photo on this blog. They are excellent for retaining heat within the home as well as adding to the security of your home.

Wooden shutters can be shut with the slats adjusted to filter light, as required, or they can be fully opened back to let all the light in that the window was meant for. For more details, or a quote, fill in the form on this web site or give me a call.

Curtain Tracks & Poles

Not exactly our main product line but something we do have a vast selection of are our curtain tracks and poles.

Take, for instance, the beautiful 35mm brushed stainless steel poles, in the attached photos. These were recently fitted to an extension on a Bungalow in Galmpton, Brixham, overlooking the River Dart.

We have everything from basic plastic tracks to heavy duty corded metal tracks. Whatever your needs give us a call or fill in the form on this web site for a call back.

We supply & fit tracks and poles from all major suppliers, such as Swish, Silent Gliss, Sunflex & Integra as well as our own line of tracks and poles, too!
