I was sad to here of the recent sudden passing of former Torquay United stalwart Ian Twitchen. A wonderful servant to the club and one of the mainstays of the team my Dad managed in the mid seventies. This is a picture of that team with my Dad bottom right and Ian Twitchen 2 to his right.
It brought back happy memories of Friday night victories in front of a regular crowd of 3500 to 4000 people. Oh how they wish they could get crowds like that now. Here’s hoping they can once again pull off the miracle of avoiding relegation.
